Premiere Stakes:

Tip - Dance Hero. Winner - Shania Dane.

Dance Hero was extremely courageous going down to Shania Dane, doing it hard all the way after being taken on by Spark of Life early. Shania Dane just got them late. Well done to Rod Quinn - Two group race victories in two weeks.

Lifestyle Stakes:

Tip - Perfectly Ready. Winner - Danerich.

Perfectly Ready missed the start and never really looked to be in it. Danerich was the beneficiary of an outstanding ride from our man Noel Callow.

Crockett Stakes:

Tip - Freestyle. Winner - Jadescent.

Freestyle tried to do it all the way but got run down in the straight to finish third. Brave effort - winner looks a smart type.

McEwen Trophy

Tip - Strikeline. Winner - Strikeline.

Winner did really well. Sat one wide the trip, and kicked clear in the straight. Convincing win. Truly Wicked will go on to better things, and Titanic Jack seems to have come back well.

So everall.

4 tips: 1 first, 1 second, 1 third, 1 fourth.

Not too bad, but we can do better.

Noel watch:

The captain had four rides today:

2 unplaced

1 winner, paying $4.40 and $1.70.

1 second paying $1.60.

Out: $8.00

In: $7.70.

First time the Noel strategy fails to show a profit. But not even the Captain can get a mug like to Holding to be competitive at G3 level.

Next Saturday features the Regal Roller benefit in the Liston Stakes, the Cockram Stakes for the mares, plus the Vain and Quezette Stakes for the 3YO colts/geldings and fillies respectively.
